Botanical Garden Of Missouri

The Missouri Botanical Gardens is located in St. Louis, Missouri and it comprises of a number of different, smaller gardens.
The St. Louis Botanical Gardens is one of the Missouri Botanical Garden which include a Chinese garden, a Japanese strolling garden, a camellias conservatory house, a sculpture garden, a geodesic-domed rainforest greenhouse, a hedge maze, a home-gardening resource center, a Victorian garden, an English woodland garden and a scented garden for the delight of the visually impaired. There are also a number of additional themed garden sections in the St. Louis gardens for travelers to view.
Although admission to the St. Louis Gardens is not free, tickets to the St. Louis gardens are not overly expensive. Tickets can be purchased in person at the garden itself, or in advance online. If you purchase your tickets online, you have the option of having them mailed to you in advance or picking them up at the St. Louis garden in person. Particularly during the spring and summer, the gardens can be quite busy and full and it is often nice to have your tickets mailed to you to avoid waiting in long lines. You can also avoid long lines and crowds by visiting the gardens in the morning during the week.
The Missouri Botanical Gardens are also popular for special private events and parties. It is even possible to book your wedding and wedding reception at the Missouri Botanical Gardens. The gardens are also where you can find a number of special Missouri festivals and community events. The Shaw Nature Reserve, the Butterfly House, and the Earth Ways Center have their own annual events each year at the gardens, and there are a number of festivals and events at the St. Louis Gardens that change each year. If you are planning a trip to Missouri, a trip to the botanical gardens can be nicely coupled with a trip to visit the Gateway Arch or the Silver Dollar City, also located in St. Louis. Together, these two great spots make an excellent day trip and are part of many Missouri suggested itineraries. There are also a number of great St. Louis hotels located near the botanical gardens.
The St. Louis Botanical Gardens are open daily from 9am until 5pm, with special hours on Wednesday and Saturday mornings (7-9am) for walkers looking to get some exercise among the beautiful flowers and fragrant gardens.
